Facebook Hacking

Sound asleep unaware what is going on in the social media. You wake up late ready for that class, then your phone rings and alas! the friend you have not caught up with for long calls "Hello what is wrong with your account, I think you have been hacked and posted all the unspeakable in your wall and tagged all your groups and friends!!" Then you remember you have no bundles to log in, no cyber around and you are late for class! This are the days you wish the world can open up and swallow you. You rush into the nearest cyber, log in and find out it was posted 9 hours ago! Holy crap, what do I do now? You start imagining all the enemies you have, all the people you have wronged and you are like, "Who the hell did this to me and why?"

This is the kind of shock I got the first time I my facebook account was hacked. Feeling humiliated in front for my 1100 friends then I almost went mad. I imagined what they might be thinking, what they now think of me and how to make everything right. It hit me really hard and I deliberated on deleting my facebook account permanently, never to open it again. However there is a problem, I had not ever bothered to know how accounts are deactivated nor deleted or how to delete posts! Oh my God, how do I start this? After 45 minutes of struggle I deactivated my account and wow I did it!.

Days passed on and after six days I had to activate my account, changed my settings and I was back into Facebook. What I failed to understand is, " Am I safe now?" I was not! several days weeks later I was hacked into again. I did the same process again and waited for the third hack and it came in due time.

Why do I write this? Am doing it for you whose accounts are as insecure as mine are. The social media world has taken another direction. We no longer worry about our daily problems anymore than we do about our online profiles. The kind of attention we get online is what everyone is going for! Is it wrong? No it is not. The world is now a global village where online you can get everything you need for lively hood by the click of the button. This being the case we need ethics and morality in our world and if we cannot get to that then we need more secure platforms for interactions where no one has access to private data.

If you are there and your account has not been hacked then lucky you for now but that doesn't mean it wont be hacked so secure your account now that you have the knowledge about its dangers! Will seek ways on how to secure your online accounts.
